 As tyre sizes on Challenge trucks have got bigger and bigger and more and more strain is put on the steering with more and more extreme offroading the standard Land Rover power steering has shown to be lacking....

     This kit will not only help you turn the steering  but will take a lot of the strain off the PAS box extending its life considerably - no more twisted centre shafts.

This Hydro Assist Kit is a simple DIY fully bolt on kit that will give your stteering the extra oomph it needs.

  No need to modify the car the hydraulic ram bolts to existing brackets ( replaces the steering damper ) and the hoses take feeds from existing ports on the power steering box with no need to drill or tap or weld fittings to the box.

Supplied as a complete kit ready to bolt onto any Defender with a 4-bolt steering box. For further information on other applications or to ensure it will fit your car just give us a call....

Power Steering Reservoir

with Spin-on Filter

Universal fit using the three bolt holes in the integral bracket this reservoir replaces your standard one with the added feature of a spin on filter. The metal particles in your steering fluid that give the lovely metallic appearance are actually damaging your pump and box as they rip at the seals.

 The use of a filter in the system will remove these damaging particles and prolong the life of your PAS pump and box both of which are very expensive to replace.

The TIG welded aluminium pot will also dissipate heat from the fluid helping prevent foaming or boiling of the fluid.

The feed and return ports are threaded 1/2"bsp - a large selection of adaptors and fittings including stainless braid hoses are available to best suit your installation.
